Chamber to celebrate Quadricentennial at Annual Dinner

(Albany NY) – The Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce is asking for your vote. In celebration of the region’s Quadricentennial, the Chamber has compiled a list of some of the area’s most influential events of the past 400 years. The Chamber is asking Capital Region residents to vote on which milestones have had the biggest impact on our region.

Voting will take place on the Chamber Web site at the following web address: http://acchamber.org/historyofdiscovery.aspx.
Only one vote per person is allowed. Voting is open to the public and will be open through Thursday, Feb. 26.

What: Albany Public Library joins with KeyBank, United Way of the Greater Capital Region, Capital Region CA$H for a free tax preparation event for Albany residents qualified for the Earned Income Tax Credits ($38,646 or $41,646 if married filing jointly) in 2008.

Who: The event is hosted by the Albany Public Library and the returns will be prepared and filed by United Way and IRS-trained KeyBank employees (certified tax preparers).

When: Saturday, February 7
