Applications Now Available for 28th Annual LarkFEST

The Lark Street BID is seeking interested persons to participate in LarkFEST as vendors in several categories including Arts & Crafts, Retail, Food and Non-Profit. Anyone who is interested can visit www.larkstreet.org to download an application.

LarkFEST will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009, 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM on Lark Street in Albany, NY. LarkFEST is the area’s largest street festival and in 2008 attracted in excess of 80,000 visitors. The event offers visitors a diverse array of vendors selling crafts, merchandise and great food, while showcasing some of the Capital Region’s best musicians and talent.

Vendor Categories and Rates:
*Arts & Crafts Vendors: $250
*Retail Vendors: $350
*Food Vendors: $450
*Non-Profit: $100

The registration deadline is August 24, 2009.

(Albany) – The Leadership Tech Valley (LTV) Class of 2009, a shared initiative of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Schenectady County, celebrated the opening of the new Teen Lounge at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany, 21 Delaware Avenue, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m.

As part of the program, graduates of Leadership Tech Valley completed a service project for a community organization. The LTV Class of 2009 chose to work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany to create a space, originally being used for storage, for teens to relax, play video games and have access to computers.

Art On Lark Winners Announced

Albany, New York — The 13th Annual Art on Lark was held on Saturday June 6th with record breaking attendance. An estimated 40,000 people attended the one-day Arts street festival that went from Washington Avenue down to Madison Avenue on Lark. With almost 200 artists, musicians, dancers and performers, it was the biggest Art on Lark ever.

Throughout the day, a number of competitions were held on the Madison Stage and at the Upstate Artists Guild. The winners are as follows:

People’s Choice Art Award (Adult)-

2nd Place- Tommy Watkins “Society’s Anomoly”
3rd Place- Gutman “Symphony #21″

COLONIE NY — On May 28, 2009, Feldman Mall Properties, Inc. sold its interests in Colonie Center to its partner, Heitman Value Partners, for approximately $4.1 million.

The transaction allows the Company to receive proceeds that will be used to continue recapitalizing its obligations. As a result of this transaction, the Company expects to recognize a loss on the further writedown of its investment in Colonie Center during 2009.
