Extended Hours Away for Children, Motivates Author Brittany Johnson To Help Parents See Their Children In A Whole New Light

NEW YORK, October 28, 2009 — According to the United States Census bureau, nearly one-quarter of U.S. preschoolers are attending some organized child care facility, resulting in children spending an inordinate amount of time away from their parents. Color 4 Kids affords families an opportunity to spend time together preparing their children for the world. Through the proper use of color, light and textures, Color 4 Kids enhances children’s’ natural beauty while simultaneously teaching Moms (and even Dads) how to adorn and enhance their children’s lives with color.

All the extra time away from their children will motivate Moms to connect using Color in spite of what the fashionistas say. “Choosing clothes should be more than just picking the latest trend,” says Brittany Johnson, [...]

LAKE GEORGE , NY (October 12, 2009): Adirondack Winery is proud to announce that six of its hand-crafted wines earned medals at the 2009 World Value Wine Challenge.

The World Value Wine Challenge (“WVWC”); which took place in August 2009 and was put on by the Beverage Testing Institute, is recognized as the nation’s most comprehensive competition for wines $20 and under. Seen the trailers for Bright Star, the biopic about poet John Keats? Jane Campion’s time capsule of the Regency Era includes music from The Regency Ballroom, the most recent recording by Berkshire musicians Liz Stell, Bill Matthiesen and Eric Buddington. This trio of flute, violin and piano, performing as Spare Parts, is one of the country’s foremost period dance music ensembles and travels throughout the U.S. to play for contra dances as well as historic reenactments of formal balls. Repertoire ranges from 17th-century Playford dances through Victorian and Gilded Age balls to pre-World War I ragtime dances. Argentine tangos, milongas and vals are another passion of these versatile musicians.

On Thursday Oct. 15 Spare Parts will perform selections from The Regency Ballroom at Images Theater in Williamstown at 7 pm, before the 7:30 showing of Bright Star.
