Rensselaer, NY – On TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 at 5:00 PM, The Doane Stuart School will dedicate the spiritual center of its new campus, the Interfaith Chapel, a magnificently restored 1930’s Art Deco space.
Representatives from many of the world’s major religions will be on hand to honor and reflect the interfaith mission of The Doane Stuart School, including:
• The Rev. Daniel R. Heischman, D.Min., Executive Director, National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) (representing the 1200 premier Episcopal Schools in the U.S)
• Rabbi Scott L. Shpeen, D.D., Congregation Beth Emeth
• Father Kenneth Doyle, Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Albany, Representing the Bishop
• Sr. Mary Beth Tobin, Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (RSCJ)
• Bishop David S. Ball, Bishop-in Residence at the Cathedral of All Saints
• Sarah Mohamed Ali ’11, Representing the Muslim faith
• Dr. Laura Roth, Albany Karma Thegsum Chöling Buddhist Center

At 6:30 PM, the School will host a festive reception, celebrating the dedication of the Doane Stuart School campus in Rensselaer. The evening’s program will include:
• Special remarks by Dr. Mark W. Lauria, Executive Director, New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS)
• Student led tours of Campus
• Academic, Athletic, and Community Service Project showcases
• Student Art Gallery
• Student Performances
