“Go Vertical” For Cystic Fibrosis
Albany, NY—On March 4, 2010, the 22nd Annual Stair Climb presented by C.R. Bard will be held to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Northeastern New York. Over 400 people are expected to race up the 42 floors of the Corning Tower at the Empire State Plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m.
Climb as an individual, or as a team of four, and race to the top! Registration fees, which can be collected from sponsors, are $65 per individual, and $250 per four-person relay team. Medals will be awarded for the fastest times in the competitive divisions and the highest fundraiser will win 2 round-trip airline tickets courtesy of American Airlines (valid for travel within the Continental US, Canada, or Mexico). Awards will be given to the winners of the Relay Challenge categories: College Challenge, High School Challenge, and Firefighter Challenge in addition to the top overall male and female finishers.
The Survivor Party for climbers includes food generously donated from Subway and beverages from Pepsi and Garelick Farms. Team and individual pictures will be taken by Dan Jackson Photography. Our emcee for the evening is Jason Gough, Meteorologist from News Channel 13.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease which affects roughly 30,000 individuals throughout the U.S. While climbing the stair climb, participants can feel how patients feel each day living with a respiratory and digestive disease such as CF.
