Adirondack Tire Centers of Colonie, NY owned by Larry O’Shea donated 200 new winter hats and gloves to the Schenectady Community Action Program (SCAP) on December 22, 2010. Earlier this month, Laura Hasney, Adirondack Tire’s Advertising and Design rep was very motivated to start a toy drive and suggest that her employer make a donation after learning that toy donations and supplies were extremely low at SCAP. Hasney organized a toy drive for Adirondack Tire throughout the 11 locations. Each toy donation gave customers a $12 discount on an oil change. Some generous patrons donated toys without purchasing a discounted oil change. Three car loads of new toys along with new hat and gloves were dropped off to SCAP prior to Christmas.
