Rick Ross concert at the Washington Avenue Armory postponed – new date is January 21st, 2012.

Albany, N.Y. – Tomorrow’s Rick Ross concert has been postponed until January 21st. The hip-hop giant was set to take The Armory’s stage Thursday, November 17th however due to recent his recent health issues as well as low box office sales, promoters we’re forced to reevaluate their promotional strategy in order to have the best possible concert.

For Ross fans, this is good news. JS Family Entertainment and Velvet Rope Promotions have now secured Avid Entertainment to handle all marketing for the new Ross date in January and plan on making major changes [...]

Albany, New York –As part of their continuing mission with the Mayor Jerry Jennings Literacy Campaign, Albany Tulip Queen Karen Colehour and her court are pleased to partner with the City School District of Albany to present the “Lights, Camera, Literacy” program to Eagle Point Elementary students on November 18th at 2:30pm.

Schenectady Museum Receives $400 Grant from Rotary Club of Schenectady Foundation for Little Wonders of Science Preschool Program
Rotary Club of Schenectady Foundation Inc. has awarded a grant for $400 to the Schenectady Museum & Suits-Bueche Planetarium for its Little Wonders of Science preschool program. The funds will be used to purchase books that are distributed to program participants.
Little Wonders of Science is a monthly preschool science and literacy program where a Museum Educator reads a story then introduces basic science concepts from the story through a fun craft. Participants receive a copy of the book and materials to continue the study of science at home.
