Albany, NY – Mayor Jerry Jennings and the City of Albany, NY are now accepting farmers market vendor applications for the 64th Annual Albany Tulip Festival. This market will consist of local producers only and be held in the new Green Market area of Tulip Festival, near the corner of Willett & Madison Avenues.

(ALBANY, NEW YORK) – On Wednesday, April 18th the Albany community will come together to discuss the issues surrounding underage drinking and drug use and raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of it. A panel of community experts will present various perspectives on the impact that underage drinking and drug use has on the community, and they will offer possible ways to address this issue. This event, presented by Albany County STOP-DWI and in collaboration with the Addictions Care Center of Albany, is being held in April to commemorate National Alcohol Awareness Month.

Cats will begin 24-hour marathon to rehab four youth baseball fields
TROY, NY– On Friday, April 13 at 11 AM, the ValleyCats will kick-off their Community Grounds Crew Program, presented by BlueShield of Northeastern New York, with a press conference at Waterford Little League. Waterford is one of the four fields being revamped as part of the second-ever ’4 in 24′ Youth Field Renovation Project. Last year, floods damaged the ball fields in Waterford, which delayed the league’s opening day by a week.

This funding will allow two museum staff members to attend the New York State Museums in Conversation conference to be held later this month in Albany.
