Ridership Increases, New Technologies & Faster Service Highlight Upstate NY’s First BRT Line

(Albany, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority’s (CDTA) BusPlus service will turn the wheel on its first full year of operation on April 3, 2012. The innovative limited stop service has increased ridership on NY Route 5, offers customers real time information and ushered in a new era of public transit choices.

(ALBANY, NEW YORK) – On Wednesday, April 18th the Albany community will come together to discuss the issues surrounding underage drinking and drug use and raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of it. A panel of community experts will present various perspectives on the impact that underage drinking and drug use has on the community, and they will offer possible ways to address this issue. This event, presented by Albany County STOP-DWI and in collaboration with the Addictions Care Center of Albany, is being held in April to commemorate National Alcohol Awareness Month.
