The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York’s Jake Straughter Memorial Golf Tournament for Epilepsy will be held on Monday, October 1st at Wolferts Roost Country Club and Schuyler Meadows Country Club. New this year, the event will be held at two locations due to the “sold out” history of the golf tournament. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon, ending with an Awards Reception at 6 p.m.
Local PGA professional, Tom Smack, and 3-time Long Drive Champion Sean “The Beast” Fister will be on the course to showcase their talent. While golfing, enjoy fine food and wine tasting on the course from Buca di Beppo’s, Jacob & Anthony’s, Recovery Room Sports Grill, and Altamont Winery Wine Tastings! There will be Hole-In-One prizes, compliments of Capitol Cities BMW, New Country Lexus, Northway 8 Golf Center, and Price Chopper. Prizes will be awarded by Master of Ceremonies, Andrew Catalon of WNYT, to the top foursomes, closest to the pin, longest drive and more!
An Awards Reception will follow with a cocktail hour, food stations, raffle prizes, and live auction, including an autographed Master’s Flag by Arnold Palmer, and an overnight with golf at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown. A special raffle is being held for a flat screen TV.
