Windham, NY – The heat is on in the Albergo Allegria Bed & Breakfast Hotel kitchen in Windham, NY! Preparations are well underway for the launching of the Inn’s Young Entrepreneur’s Scholarship at their 30th Birthday Party on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 1:00-5:00PM.
Chad Montgomery, owner of 4 & 20 Baker’s in Schenectady, is mentoring 14 year old entrepreneur, Olivia Cronk through the process of creating flavor paring signature cupcakes from scratch to frosted finish. Albergo Allegria’s “Kitchen of Happiness” venue is the classroom setting for this baking opportunity and cupcakes will be featured at Saturday’s event. Baker’s will be there to meet attendees, showcase their talent, and promote their passion for the trade.
“Flavor pairing is the art of combining one food with another to create flavor harmonies”, Chad explains. “Cupcakes need to be tailored to the client; there’s a careful consideration in catering an event like this; with the culinary history that these owners have, the possibilities are endless but must remain distinctive to the essence of Albergo Allegria.” “For our milestone occasion, we are showcasing not only the physical property, but the tastes and flavors of the Inn”, innkeeper Marianna Leman describes, “Chad and Olivia have come up with flavor pairings that are unique to what we offer, and compliment the rest of the event’s menu”.
