When a very old Hudson River meets two very young Ducks, the result is a winning way to see Albany with great SPLASH!
The Albany Aqua Ducks celebrate their 8th season in 2011, entertaining guests in New York’s Capital City.
Upstate’s only amphibious tour company, the Ducks offer daily, 90-minute guided tours of historic Albany by land and water from mid-April through October. All tours leave from the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center at Quackenbush Square in Downtown Albany.
The Ducks’ 42-passenger HYDRA-TERRAs offer comfortable spacious seating and are equipped with heaters and roll-down windows. Operators are U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains. And, the specially trained tour guides provide educational and fun narratives as the Ducks take to the streets and the river for a fun-filled adventure.

Clang! Clang! Go the Trolleys
The Albany Aqua Ducks’ fleet includes the Albany Trolleys.
In season, the Trolleys offer conductor-narrated, on-off tours of Albany – stopping at 18 locations. Each ticket is an all day ticket to ride, with guests having the option of getting off and re-boarding at any time during the day. Guests may board at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center or at any of the Trolley stops on the route.
The Trolleys are available for tours all year with a variety of special experiences available including special tours based on themes (how about a Chocolate Tour?) and packages with entertainment venues and restaurants, as well as educational tours for school groups.
Each of the three, heated trolleys in the fleet can accommodate up to 26 passengers.
All vehicles are available for charters and for special transport for any special occasion.
