Recently hailed as “one of the country’s great orchestras” by the American Record Guide, the Albany Symphony is one of the Capital Region’s most revered music and cultural institutions, having won numerous national awards for its adventurous concert programming, recording projects, composer residencies, and innovative educational outreach.
Each year it thrills Capital Region audiences with dynamic and unforgettable concerts from September through May – including 8 classical concerts, 2 family concerts, and annually popular Magic of Christmas performance and a Pops concert annually, performed in 3 exciting venues located in vibrant, accessible downtown areas – Albany’s Palace Theatre, the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, and EMPAC on the campus of RPI.
