The Alliance for Positive Health (formerly The AIDS Council) is a not-for-profit human service agency whose mission is to reduce the risk, fear & incidence of HIV infection. And encourage the independence of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS
In operation for more than 25 years, the Alliance for Positive Health (formerly The AIDS Council) is the preeminent provider of AIDS services in a fifteen county region in Upstate New York with offices in Albany, Hudson Falls, Hudson, Plattsburgh, and Schenectady. The Alliance for Positive Health provides a continuum of Client Services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their family members. A compassionate team of case managers works directly with HIV infected individuals to help them access appropriate medical care and support services and provide assistance in following prescribed treatment regimens. We also provide direct financial, food, housing, counseling, and transportation assistance to improve stability in client lives.
HIV is a preventable disease, and the Alliance for Positive Health's Prevention Services programs offer effective, innovative solutions that make a significant impact on the spread of this devastating disease. We reduce the rate of HIV infection by working both with at-risk and currently infected individuals.
