For over 30 years, CSSC has been about people, families, and community.  Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc. is the largest independent provider of services for senior citizens in Colonie and the Capital Region.  We are an independent, not-for-profit corporation that respects, supports and enhances the values and vitality of our seniors. We are a community-based organization that is completely committed to helping our senior citizens stay active and independent through the programs and services which we provide.

• Transportation helps to keep our seniors connected to the community.  We provide van service, wheelchair service plus escort and companion services, by appointment, for medical and pharmacy visits, shopping, social activities and other errands. 
• Health and Wellness Programs include classes for a wide range of health, fitness and educational interests.  Courses are on-going and vary throughout the year.
• Senior Dining meals are available at neighborhood locations throughout Colonie.  We offer  delicious noon meals, with monthly entertainment. Seniors can enjoy lunch with friends and connect to other recources.
• Bright Horizons Social Centers provide day activities for seniors.  Bright Horizons provides respite for caregivers and a supportive social center for their loved ones.  Day programs are available at three locations.
• Umbrella of Colonie is a unique home maintenance program designed to help seniors live independently.  We connect senior homeowners with retired handymen who handle minor home repairs at a reasonable cost.  It, like neighbors helping neighbors, makes our community one of the safest in the country!
• Senior Housing Over 300 independent living apartment homes are available at the Beltone Living Center and Sheehy Manor.
