Saratoga and North Creek Railway

The Saratoga and North Creek Railway is offering visitors a unique way to experience the Adirondack region. With seven stops between its destinations in North Creek and Saratoga Springs, the rail line  which connects to the national rail network in Saratoga Springs, provides easy access to many friendly towns in the region complete with dining, museums, shopping, excursions and special events.

This past weekend my two friends and I hopped a board the snow train for a fun filled day of skiing at Gore mountain. It was wonderful experience to say the least. The staff was attentive and kind and the food was impeccable! I can't say enough about how pleased I was with the whole experience. I will definitely be spreading the good word!

I and fiance reserved two tickets for the dome car round trip on 10/22/11. The fellow riders were polite and social, seats were comfy and the staff were attentive. Otherwise I would not recommend the ride. The dome windows were cloudy with a strange film. The scenes were not awe inspiring. and the destination of North Creek leaves little for the three hour stayover to be interesting. The regular part of the cars had small windows and the travelers were very uncomfortable because all the heat rose to the dome car on the return trip. needless to say they did not have smiles on their faces upon return. I did enjoy the venture enough to try again on another railroad line.
