Every time I've been to SPAC, I've had a good time. They always have the best concerts and shows, the sound quality is great, and you can save a lot of money if you buy lawn tickets instead of a seat in the theater.
My aunt had her graduation from Albany Law School at SPAC, and that turned out very nice as well. Everyone came down a different aisle, and the ground is sloped, so it made it easier to take photos and video without people getting in the way.
