Superbowl, anyone? Bring on the football and Madonna

rocks.jpg

The Superbowl means one thing to many people--Party-with a capital P. And Central Avenue has plenty to choose from. Take a look at our Superbowl Party Round-up:

Like a little drag with your football? This year marks the fifth annual Fly92 Superbowl Party and Dragbowl at Waterworks. Jimmy2Cool will be bartending and patrons can enjoy the half-time buffet and get a load of Madonna, queen of spectacle, during her half-time show. Free haircuts are being given away from Mirror Image Salon, and one lucky individual will win a trip to NYC. Afterwards, patrons can stick around the the drag show. Party starts at 5pm, 76 Central Avenue in Albany.

Rocks offers serious game action this Sunday. According to David Dobbins, "All TVs will be on the game with no distractions or interruptions." Tailgate T-dance party starts at 3pm, followed by game at 6pm. Free half-time buffet and happy hour drink specials and crazy shot specials. 77 Central Avenue in Albany.

Bobby T's is hosting a big Superbowl party from its spot on N. Allen. The sports bar will host a free buffet and offer drink specials, and all 22 TVs will be tuned to the game. Check out the game and grab some of their world-famous pork wings Sunday afternoon, 221 N. Allen in Albany.

And when you think game, think OTB. The new Clubhouse Race Book does double-time as a sports pub with the new 711 Sports Grill. Managed by BBL Hospitality, the same group who runs the Recovery Rooms in this region, the 711 Sports Grill serves up great burgers and sandwiches, and Sunday they'll add King cut Prime Rib, half-price appetizers, and great discounts on Bud and Bud Light. Drawings all day for lift tix, I-pods and apparel--all this and 250 flat screens tuned to the game. The Race Book wants to be the area's new home for big sports events. Check it out at 711 Central Avenue in Albany.

Check it all out Sunday Feb 5, on Central Avenue.
