I'm sure by this point in the summer everyone has heard the smash-hit song "Somebody that I used to know" by the artist Gotye coming through the speakers at a cookout, in the car, or pretty much every other outlet music is played. The song is original and creative and proved to me that no matter what genre of music happens to be most popular at any given time, a quality song will always transcend its way through the muck. But as creative and original as the #1 single is, the remix that was shown to me by a friend may have topped it. In the youtube spinoff that's gone viral this month, our artist, Dan Rib, uses the same track as the original but changes the words as they relate to Kobe Bryant in, "The Kobe That We Used To Know." Trust me when I tell you it's worth the watch. The youtube video has surpassed 700,000 views since it was first posted a little over a month ago, and will likely hit one million clicks in the next week...only 279,900,000 views behind Gotye's original version. Enjoy!
P.S. The views expressed in this song do not reflect that of the blogger who's been known to kneel and pray to Kobe Bryant.
