Xavier is a 5 year old boy who is terminally ill with mitochondrial disease. He has no immune system ...and he resides at home with 24 hour nursing care. The family has been struggling emotionally and financially for the past 2 years since Xavier has weakend. The family has gone from two incomes to one and they have monthly medical expenses that are not covered by insurance. Day to day costs associated with Xavier's around the clock care are increasing as his condition worsens.
Friends and volunteers from the Ronald McDonald House of the Capital Region have organized a fundraiser for Xavier on April 28th from 11:00 to 3:00pm at the Blessed Sacrament School Gym on Central Avenue in Albany. The event will include food, music, raffles, and a silent auction. Tickets are $10.
