Join other people interested in geology for a traverse along the Helderberg cliffs in the newer, northwest area of Thacher State Park. In this first of a series of Geology walks at Thacher this season, State Museum Geologist Dr. Chuck Ver Straeten will lead the way, helping to interpret the group's observations and answering questions. Participants should wear hiking gear for trail, brush, and rock outcrop walking. At the end of the hike, VerStraeten will identify rocks and fossils brought by participants from home.
