The City of Albany and the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District are pleased to announce a new jazz tradition: the Downtown Albany Jazz Fest Competition, held the evening before the Riverfront Jazz Festival,
The top jazz artists in the Capital Region are asked to submit applications for a chance to perform as the opening act of the Riverfront Jazz Festival!
10 finalists will be chosen and will perfom at various venues throughout downtown Albany. Then it will be up to a public vote to decide who will win the chance to perform in front of thousands of people at Jazz Fest.
