The SingerSongwriter club will be donating portions of the proceeds from this music al event to The Bob Marley Foundation for the Empowerment of the Oppressed. The Bob Marley Foundation seeks to maintain a dynamic foundation which will enable individuals, groups, and/or communities in developing nations, particularly Jamaica and Africa, to create and implement programs that assist in the empowerment of the oppressed and the elimination of generational poverty through sustainable projects.
Tickets for the event are on sale at the door; $5.00 all students with student ID, and $8.00 general admission for all others.
Special Guest Artists Harriet Tubman - The Band
Harriet Tubman is a trio dedicated to a thunderously heavy fusion. Guitarist Brandon Ross keeps melody ever present in this group. You have heard his fretwork in such varied jazz projects as Henry Threadgill, The Lounge Lizards, and Cassandra Wilson while he has invaded pop to work with Jewel and Arrested Development.
