Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quilling tool to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork.
Children age 12 and older, teens and adults are welcome to attend. If your a beginner or at a higher level I can provide teaching and have the time to work on projects that are simple or that can challenge you.
PLEASE RSVP by or before April 13 by 5pm and there is a $5.00 reservation fee to sign up to reserve your seat. You can call, email, or stop by the store to reserve your spot. You can just drop into the class but if RSVP you get spot reserved for you.
The total price for the class is $20. The price covers the slotted quilling tool for rolling up the paper, and the multi-color quilling paper, zip lock bag to carry home your creations at the end of class. The cost also covers the usage of glue that will be provided at the store and scissors. I will give out print outs of the directions on how to create basic shapes, and whatever projects we work on.
