This three-act ballet featuring Glazunov's glorious score tells the story of Raymonda, the niece of a French countess and betrothed to the knight Jean de Brienne. Separated by Jean's commitment to aid King Andrei II in medieval times, another suitor is so dazzled by Raymonda's beauty that he attempts to abduct her.
Filled with color, grand effects, and a rousing duel, Raymonda features choreography by Yuri Grigorovich, broadcast from the Bolshoi Ballet, Moscow.
