Join us for a workshop that discusses the WHY and HOW-TO for old wood window repairs. The presentation will discuss 5 reasons to keep your old windows: architectural aesthetics; energy efficiency; sustainability; durability; and economics. There will be a demonstration featuring hands-on window repair techniques such as how to remove a window sash; how to repair/replace broken cords, cracked glass or glazing putty; how best to strip paint; what tools to use and how to add weather-stripping. Kim & Jack Alvarez of Landmark Consulting LLC will teach you the reasons, tools and techniques you will need to return your windows to their former beauty! Proceeds will go to the WCA Capital Campaign Fund.
