At the "One-Minute Art-Making Festival" (December 26 and 27) kiddos make 15 art projects for 60 seconds each, in tribute to our One Minute Film Festival exhibition. Then close out the year with our "Rockin' Art Countdown" (December 30 and 31), an art-making countdown of the top 10 hits from over 14 years of Kidspace art projects.

Come on out and make some noise for a good cause during the holiday break! Play musical games, see and try rare instruments while learning basic rhythms using drums, shakers, and bells. This benefit for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is a collaboration of "Rocky's Music Studio" of North Greenbush, and "Let's Drum," the hands-on, Upstate New York traveling music program.

The Friends of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library Community Scholarship program is to assist deserving students in achieving their educational dreams. The Friends award two $1,000 scholarships annually to students who will be attending an accredited two or four-year College or University. Scholarship recipients must be Shenendehowa H.S. students AND/OR residents of the Library District who attend another public or private high school or are home schooled.
Cross Country Ski Lessons 2014:The Town of Clifton Park, in cooperation with the Shenendehowa Nordic Club, announces its Beginner Cross Country Ski Lessons program. Classes are offered as snow conditions allow from 6:30pm-8:00pm on the above dates at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. All ages and families are welcome.
Rowdy the clown will perform an interactive fire safety presentation that is sure to appeal to children and the "child" in all of us, at the FASNY Museum of Firefighting on January 4, 2014 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. Rambunctious Rowdy will share all her uproarious antics with children during this interactive and educational show. Fire safety crafts, balloon sculpting and other fun will abound, so come and spend the morning "clowning around" at the Museum.

The new broommaking exhibit at the Franchere Education Center introduces visitors to the history behind the broomcorn broom, its importance in the Mohawk Valley, and its westward sweep across the nation.
