I love visiting my parents, God love 'em, but being disconnected from Internet access, 3G and Verizon cell phone service can wear on your well being. Living way out in rural Southeast Missouri, they do have Direct TV, but unfortunately have an obsession with the Lifetime Movie Network and the Hallmark Channel. It didn't take long to reach my threshold of Valerie Bertinelli movies.
What to do after everyone goes to be at 8:30 p.m.? Fire up the sewing machine, of course! I managed to crank out a little quilt for our newest nephew Hudson while I was visiting. My inspiration was some super cute sock monkey fabric I found at Hobby Lobby. Hudson's quilt is the same pattern (Shoo Fly) that I did for his brother Walter Mack just after he was born.
Paired with some photo fabric (the coolest stuff ever), this quilt is certainly one of a kind!
Not too bad for being bored out of your mind, right?
