Everyone wants to find the perfect prom dress. But the perfect prom dress for another girl might not be the perfect prom dress for you. No two bodies are exactly the same. Wear a prom dress you will feel beautiful in! Here are some tips to finding the right prom dress for YOU.
Tip #1: Get a dress that accentuates your best features - not one that looked good on somebody else.
Tip #2: Try to avoid buying a dress online. To get the best prom dress for your body, you need to be able to try it on. Go to a local boutique or dress store and ask for help!
Tip #3: Don't feel pressured to spend a lot of money to get a great dress. Keep in mind you will only wear it once. A good idea is to exchange dresses with girl friends that are the same size as you!

ATHLETIC: If you have an athletic figure with wide shoulders, medium bust, straight waist, narrow hips, and shapely legs, look for:
- Strapless Dress - This sheath style will show off your shoulders and accentuate your bust.
- A dress with simple straps will also leave your shoulders open
- Trumpet-Shaped Dress - This style gives you a curved, feminine figure.

CURVY: If you have an hourglass figure with a larger bust, small waist, curvy hips and shapely legs...Congratulations, many dresses will look good on you! To emphasize your best features look for:
- Halter-Top Dress - This style will show off your small waist while defining your curves around your bust and hips. Also note: A darker color dress slims your appearance.

- Find a smaller dress that hugs your body. Don't get a prom dress that will overwhelm your figure. Stay away from longer ball-gowns or larger dresses that you will disappear in.
- Try a dress that gathers at the hips with a flower or other accessory.
- Another idea to look for is a dress with long ruffles or an asymmetrical hemline.
