City of Schenectady
Incorporated in 1798 and once referred to as the City that Lights and Hauls, Schenectady NY is rich in history that is set for a period of growth and rebirth. Schenectady is part of eastern New York’s Tri-County – about 18 miles northwest of Albany. The city was once the headquarters of the General Electric Company and the American Locomotive Company. School District: Schenectady City Schools.

Town of Duanesburg
Located in the western section of Schenectady County, Duanesburg is a quiet, rural bedroom community. Made up of 73.5 square miles, the town is bordered by Montgomery, Schoharie & Albany Counties and offers 2 recreational parks for its residents: The Robert B. Shaffer Memorial Park and the VanPatten Mill Park. School District: Duanesburg Central School District.
 
Town of Glenville
Incorporated in 1821, Glenville is located in the northern portion of Schenectady County. It is made up of approximately 51 square miles and is considered a commuter town with residents working in Schenectady, Albany, Troy and other cities in the Capital District. Glenville, NY offers its residents an abundance of recreational opportunities with a handful of town parks, nature preserves, hiking and biking trails – even a free fishing and boat launch. School District: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, Scotia-Glenville, Greater Amsterdam or Galway.
Town of Niskayuna
Located in the northeast section of the county, Niskayuna is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Albany NY. Primarily a residential community, Niskayuna only has 20% zoning for commercial. Bellevue Hospital, and the General Electric Corporate Research & Development Center are both located here. School District: Niskayuna Central School District.
 
 
 
 
Town of Rotterdam
With its motto, “Stronger Through Effort”, Rotterdam is a suburban community in Schenectady County. Bordering the city of Schenectady, NY Rotterdam is located in the southcentral portion of the county. In addition, the town has suburban communities and hamlets. Children that live in the town of Rotterdam attend Mohonasen or Schalmont Central School District. Rotterdam offers its residents a total of 11 parks and nature preserves for sports and recreation.
 
Village of Scotia
Situated in the southern portion of the Town of Glenville, and on the north banks of the Mohawk River, Scotia NY is one of the two villages’ in the county. Scotia has a total area of 1.8 square miles and recently celebrated its centennial anniversary of its 1904 incorporation. Scotia offers its residents two parks: Freedom Park and Collins Park. Children attend Scotia-Glenville School District.
 
 
Village of Delanson
Situated between the Danforth and Cherry Valley Turnpike, the Village Delanson, New York can be found in the southeastern portion of Duanesburg, near Princetown. Located in Schenectady County, Delanson is accessed via Interstate 88.
Town of Princetown
Known for its rural atmosphere, the town of Princetown is located in the western portion of the County. The town is east of Duanesburg & Delanson and can be accessed via Interstate 88.
