Haven't we all felt this at some point or another?  A sense of not being able to get anything going.  Of not really having a lot to say even though there are a million things going on in the world at any given time much of it worthy of at least a comment.  Here's how I'm choosing to look at this today...

...a calm in the storm.  The outside world is chaotic and hectic at times.  To find some peace amidst the hubbub is bliss.  Some words of how to do this:

Exercise, breathe, find some time alone even if it is just 15 minutes per day, and dare I say?  Avoid the news!

writers-block1.jpg*"THINK WELL" a presentation by Dr. Michael Quartararo will be held in our Guilderland office on October 13th and in our Ballston Spa office on October 14th.  Both presentations will begin at 7pm.  If you'd like to attend, contact us via our website:  www.aacfamilywellness.com.

boxing372x192.jpgboxing372x192.jpgJust finished my Thai boxing class.  Most people are quite surprised that I take this class because it's, well, boxing...and I'm a female.  But, really, this is probably the best workout I've had in a month (since the last time I went) and I go to the gym at least 3 times per week.

My partner (a 40-something mother of 4) and I were laughing the whole way through, cheering each other on, getting competitive and having a sweaty blast.

boxing372x192.jpgYou just can't get a workout like that, in the gym without a personal trainer.  In Thai boxing, there is learning along with the workout so your brain stays active.  I get a workout and I'm not thinking about my kids or the laundry or work...or the fact that I'm bored out of my mind with the treadmill.

Don't be afraid...try a class.  My recommendation:  Empire Martial Arts in Colonie.  Alan Condon is a great instructor and has a workout for everyone.
