Colonie Fuddruckers To Move, Not Close

user-pic
The Colonie Fuddruckers is set to move from its long-time, Wolf Road location to a new location in the Clifton Park Center.
While the reason for the move is not clear, Fuddruckers of Albany posted "We're so sorry to our friends in Albany. We did not want to leave our Wolf Road home but due to circumstances outside of our control, it was necessary."

The Wolf Road location will be closed during the transition. The Clifton Park location will open in the spring of 2011.

If you can't get enough of Fuddruckers' delicious burgers and great kids' menu, do not fear! You will only be without your burger fix for a few short months and the new location will be just a short trip away!

Fuddruckers claims to have the "best burgers in town," do you agree? If not, who has your vote for the best burger in the Capital Region?

That's really great how they decided to make this "transition" right before the holidays! You know, like LESS THAN A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!! I'm glad that the owner and management are sorry to all of their "friends in Albany," who surely include all of their employees who lost their jobs about 5 days before Christmas and went into the New Year unemployed in the stellar job market/economy we have right now! I'm sure that the timing of this truly was truly "due to circumstances outside of (their) control," though, and I'm sure all those employees will be welcomed with open arms at the new location that, at just 13 miles away up the Northway, is but a hop, skip and a jump from the old one, when it finally opens 3-6 months or more from now! Actually, if memory serves me right, they were going to open in Clifton Park a few years ago and that fell through. Well, timing obviously isn't a big concern for the captains of this ship, so better late than never! I would just like to commend the good people at Fuddruckers for truly embracing the spirit of the holidays, and I hope that all of their patrons remember this wonderful business decision they made if/when they open the doors of a new location!

I am sorry that the employees lost their jobs just before Christmas. I do hope that the New Year will bring you opportunity and stability in employment. Every Fuddruckers employee deserves praise for the work that you did and the service that you delivered to regular customers like myself.
If Fuddruckers opens in Clifton Park it will be just too far for me. I had hoped that Fudds would open in Delmar, close to 9W and Feur Bush intersection close to the Marshall's and Bed Bath and Beyond. Well, those are my wishes for the New Year, have a good one!

I am so pissed at this place. I purchased gift certificates in December for everyone in my family to attend this resturant for the burger challenge for my husbands birthday. When we all showed up on Jan 21, 2011 they wern't open!! I told the person I purchased the certificates from what they were for and he said nothing about moving. CRAPPY way to make money and I want my money back!! I had to pay for 17 people to eat out that night! NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT AT FudWRECKERS!!!
Thanks really could afford that! I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to eat there and there crap way to make a quick buck!!
