Brown's Brewing Company, located in Troy, is now ranked as the Largest Brewpub in New York State, according the Brewer's Association's New Brewer Annual Industry Review.
Not only is it the largest in NY, but it is also one of the largest in the country! With 2,650 barrels of beer brewed in 2011, Brown's is ranked as the 5th largest brewpub in the Northeast and the 25th largest in the United States.
What is a brewpub by definition? Well it's exactly as it sounds: a brewpub is a pub or restaurant that brews beer on the premises.
But the space is more than just a brewing facility with a few seats in the front. Brown's has a Taproom with plenty of seating and a great menu (their burgers and chicken wings are especially worth trying while you're there), an upstairs seating area, a patio and coming this summer a Malt Room with an ale focused bar in the basement.
And if that's not enough they also host trivia nights, live music, dinner events and more!
