The new Trader Joe's grocery store at 79 Wolf Road in Colonie is set to open on Friday, August 3, at 8am. The store has been working with Colonie Police to make sure the surge in auto and foot traffic doesn't become a problem Friday morning.Trader Joe's has contracted several officers to direct traffic and assist shoppers in the parking lot to ensure that the grand opening goes smoothly.
For the weekend, there will be another officer at the corner of Wolf and Sand Creek roads. Pedestrians crossing the street here are urged to use the crosswalk and wait for the traffic light before crossing.
