488 singers in downtown Albany decided to make history and set a world record on that day! The event took place outside of the Times Union Center on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 12:00 PM. Officially, 488 singers came out to participate and set a world record for the most people singing Jingle Bells while ringing jingle bells

The event was brought to the public by Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings and the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID). Jingle bells were provided to all participants and the event was free to anyone who wanted to help make history.
