Saturday, December 10

The 11th Annual Santa Speedo Sprint is a fun way to raise money for charity that the Albany area looks forward to every year! Net proceeds go towards the Albany Damien Center and the HIV/AIDS program at Albany Medical Center. It costs $25 to register, and you are able to register the day-of. No worries if you don't want to wear a speedo - runners sport everything from speedos to costumes to suits!


Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10

The Lark Street Business Improvement District is putting on the Half Moon Holiday Pop Up this year in conjunction with the Santa Speedo Sprint. Over 20 artists and vendors will be set up on Lark Street along with live music, and Nine Pin Cider will be served in the Trinity Church parking lot.

Friday, December 9 

Rascals is hosting an epic holiday party with live performances from Adam Wakefield - runner-up from Season 10 of NBC's "The Voice" - and Skeeter Creek. Tickets are $40 for premium, which include passed hors d'oeuvres and one drink, or you can spring for the VIP tickets that are $60. VIP tickets include a specialty buffet, table services, prioritized seating, two drinks, and a meet-and-greet with the performers. Half of all ticket sales benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region.


Sunday, December 11

There are two different price packages for breakfast with Santa, and they both give you access to the awesome Dave & Buster's! Package 1 is $19.99 and includes a breakfast buffet, activities, a $10 power card, and a picture with Santa. Package 2 is $25.99 and includes a breakfast buffet, a $15 power card, unlimited video game play, activities, and a picture with Santa.

Saturday, December 10

Humor author David Sedaris will be at The Linda on Central Avenue presenting his classic, "The Santaland Diaries." This comedy details stories from Sedaris's time working as an elf at a Macy's Santaland. Get ready to hear about bad children, worse parents, and more, as some comedic relief for your holiday season! Tickets are $15, or four for $50.


Saturday, December 10

Il Faro Restaurant on Pearl Street is hosting a gingerbread building event to benefit the Southend Children's Cafe. Guests will be baking gingerbread and trimmings will be supplied - all ages welcome! The cost is just $10.


Saturday, December 10 to Sunday, December 11

The Troy Flea is returning for a special two-day indoor holiday market - this would be a great place to pick out some unique gifts! Items for sale will include candles, clothing, jewelry, original art prints, essential oils, children's items, records, housewares, books, and more. There will also be live entertainment, chair massages, and tarot card readings.
