Albany Medical College

Albany Medical CollegeFounded in 1839, Albany Medical College is one of the nation's first private medical schools that offers undergraduate, graduate studies and research, residencies and fellowships, as well as continuing education.

The undergraduate program continues to offer a limited, highly-selective enrollment to a small group of 128 students in each class.

The graduate studies program offers M.S. Programs in the Clinical Sciences as well as Ph.D. and M.S. Programs in the Basic Sciences.

Albany Medical College is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. These CME activities were specifically designed to meet both institutional requirements and the individual needs of the physician.

Did You Know?

Albany Medical College teamed up with Union College and Albany Law School to form Union University in 1873. Since that time, Albany College of Pharmacy and Dudley Observatory both joined Union University.
