The U.S. Air Force’s B-29 Superfortress, named “FIFI” landed at Albany International Airport on Monday. FIFI is the last flying Superfortress remaining in the world.
The B-29 Superfortress was flown in WWII, and helped the USA win the war over Japan. The four-propeller plane was designed by Boeing, and was a very advanced piece of technology for its time. The bomber featured electric machine-gun turrets and a pressurized cabin.
FIFI will be on display to the public from Wednesday, June 15th, until Sunday, June 19th. You can get a closer look at the plane for $10 (adults) or $5 (children).
