When: Saturday, May 8, 2021 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The Spring Makers Markets at Arlene’s, produced by Arlene’s Artist Material, are back and better than ever. The Markets are bringing together the best of the best of handpicked vendors from NYS Capital Region and beyond. “There is nothing like a Makers Market day at Arlene’s” says Market Manager Andrew Ochal. “There is this dynamic hustle and bustle of makers interacting with each other and community members. The energy is so positive and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. It's truly one of my favorite things to see the Makers doing their thing.”

The Markets are scheduled to take place outside in the store’s parking lot on Saturday, May 8th and May 22nd, from 11am to 4 pm. We have another great selection of local makers, some new and regular faces, showcasing a wide selection of expertly crafted handmade wares. All Makers will be following CDC guidelines regarding COVID- 19, including wearing face coverings, to ensure the safety and wellness of staff, other Makers and guests.

Storied Coffee will have a POP up store at both markets. Storied Coffee are neighborhood shops fostering memorable experiences through specialty coffee, milk teas, and more. They have two locations, one on Mohawk Avenue in Scotia, NY and the second on Union St in Schenectady, NY, that are dedicated to quality, craft, and guest connection. Storied proudly features coffees roasted by Kru Coffee in Saratoga Springs, NY, including their signature Storied Blend No.1. They also feature an extensive selection of loose-leaf teas from Short and Stout Tea Co. in Guilderland, NY, and quality baked goods. Come to the markets and enjoy what Storied Coffee and our vendors have to offer.

Each day will feature different Makers so make sure you come to both see everything that is offered. Featured Makers on Saturday, May 8th, include bag designer Allison Piracci with Solulu Handmade, baker Cheyenne Simmons with Great Exbaketations Bakery, woodworker Chris Conlon with Skulls and Sawdust, potter/sculptor Hannah Hutchinson with  Just Noise Ceramics, jewelry artist Joy Iris-Wilbanks with Moon Joy Creations, printmaker and fabric artist Kathy Klompas, artist Kasmira Demyan, jeweler Katie Nare with Katie Nare Jewelry, artist Rebecca A.
