Musical Improv: Games
Join our Musical Director in this 6-Week Class exploring short form improv song games and working as a team with your fellow musical improvisers. It’s like karaoke, but you make up your own words! If you've ever seen "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and thought watching Wayne Brady and Brad Sherwood invent songs seemed like a blast, this class is for you. More of a Colin Mochrie when it comes to singing? Don't worry! You don’t need to be a great singer to take this class, you just need to enjoy singing.
Besides enjoying playing through a list of fun improv games, students will also learn techniques around rhyming, inventing verses and choruses and the art of making music in the moment. So jump in and bring some joy to your Monday nights this winter. We promise you'll have a new song stuck in your head each week!
Each Improv Fundamentals and Musical Improv 6-Week course each has a unique performance element that showcases the skills you focused on during the class. You'll be able to show off to your friends and family everything you've learned. The performance is not mandatory but we bet you'll want to take part. Participation is dependant on consistent attendance.
