Saratoga County 4-H Walkathon

About this event

A little over 50 years ago, 4-H Staff, Volunteers and Members had a vision to build a facility that would become a center for learning in Saratoga County. By creating unique educational spaces both indoors and outdoors, they helped expand opportunities for youth and community members. The 4-H Training Center is a 44 acre campus that houses a variety of spaces, from equine arenas to STEM classrooms, shooting sports areas to hiking trails, an accessible community garden and so much more!

In keeping with the vision of a “Center for Learning” these facilities are available at low or no cost to most groups. Thanks to the contributions of many group supporters, individuals, and businesses, the 4-H Training Center will continue to improve and expand its opportunities. At this time, Saratoga County 4-H serves over seven hundred youth and families in the county by providing many unique educational and social opportunities.

All funds raised by the walkathon go to the 4-H Training Center on Middleline Rd in Ballston Spa. With the exception of two small grants, all monies to support the Training Center come from fundraisers and donations from community groups and individuals. Community support is an essential factor in the continued viability of the facility.
