It is quite easy to fall back into a routine of doing work you once delegated. If the person or persons you delegated to aren’t in the office or have left your company, or if it just seems easier for you to do it yourself, it can be easy to get re-engaged into activities that no longer should be in your area of concern.<\/p>\n

How do you stop the maddening cycle of un-delegating? Have accountability built into your business, both for the delegated and the delegator (you). Have your team assess your performance as a leader and help you determine the roles and responsibilities that you should be concerned with.<\/p>\n

Do you work alone? Then it may be even easier to break the maddening cycle. Since the only person responsible for your time is you, use something like the Covey 4 Quadrant matrix<\/a> to help you plot out what you may need to let go of, what you can delegate, and more.
