I attended an HR Hacking Global Online Conference in early March of 2021. It was an excellent opportunity to learn more about HR under unique situations. Holding a virtual event enabled many people to join the meeting without considering any travel expenses or putting their health at risk.<\/p>\n
It is not an exaggeration to say that we are under a crisis. It gives us a chance to reflect on our life, work, and activities during these times. From the HR Hacking Global Online Conference, I learned how to lead through situations similar to what we are going through right now with the pandemic. Extreme amounts of pressure can make leaders appear to be more personable. These thoughtful changes make people closer, especially on solemn occasions such as workplaces.<\/p>\n
We never realized how we are so used to old business methods until we encountered the crisis. For example, do we need business travel? How much time did we waste on business trips, waiting in the airport? Many companies have started using virtual apps like Zoom to hold meetings. People have started getting used to it, saving time through Zoom meetings which they could use in their personal lives.<\/p>\n
Also, the crisis has made people start to think about their company. Am I working in a company that cares about people, well-being, work-life balance? Am I working in an organization that offers outside resources like hotlines? People have started to reflect on their lives, personal relationships, workplace environment, etc., during this crisis. The pandemic is highly likely to change our ways of living, working, and interacting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
