A: The golden rule applies here. If you were turned down for the position, how would you like to find out? I’m guessing most of us would want to be turned down either on the phone or in person.<\/div>\n

Depending on the nature of the relationship you have with the potential employer, you should consider the most appropriate method of communication.<\/div>\n

If you want to keep the door open for future opportunities, you may want to consider a face to face meeting or schedule a phone call.<\/div>\n

In some cases, a well-crafted rejection letter may be more apropos.<\/div>\n
