I provide health care for women and attend planned home births. As a NY Licensed Midwife, I get to care for woman of all ages. As my own employer, I also get to see sweet babies born at home, two to four times a month. I love my work!<\/p>\n<p>My birthday is in the middle of the summer, July eleventh. It has always been one of my favorite days. The season, the month, the day, even the number 7\/11, just seem right. On my birthday, people wish me well, some give me presents. I get to celebrate being born. There is cake. I love my birthday!<\/p>\n<p>When people ask what I am doing for my birthday, I smile and say, &#8216;maybe catching a a baby&#8217;. Since starting Local Care Midwifery, every year on my birthday, I have attended a home birth of a sweet baby. Three years running, a beautiful baby girl has been born, at home, into loving hands and open hearts on my birthday. Both personally and professionally, I can attest that July 11 is a great day to be born.
