New $20 Million Hilton Hotel Project Underway In Troy
Hilton Garden Inn Coming To Hoosick Street In Troy NY
TROY NY - A new $20 million Hilton Garden Inn will be coming soon to Hoosick Street in Troy. Also on premises will be the Great American Grill and Recovery Sports Grille. Construction for the new 7-story hotel/restaurant complex is nearing completion, and the venue is expected to open by the end of 2009.
Five residential houses on Hoosick Street were demolished to make way for the new Troy NY Hilton, which will feature over 125 guest rooms and suites, an indoor swimming pool, two restaurants and 13,000 square feet of meeting/banquet space.
BBL Construction Services of Albany was given the contract for building, operating under the name Hoosick Hospitality, LLC. The finished hotel is expected to be similar to the Hilton Garden Inn University Heights in Albany.
Harry Tutunjian, mayor of Troy is hoping this hotel will be a destination for visitors to the area.
