Albany features a variety of historical attractions and museums, as well as numerous performing arts venues. There are many places to shop in and around the city, from local boutiques and specialty stores to malls and shopping centers.

The Capital Region is a great place to live if you enjoy the outdoors too, as there are places to hike, walk, and reconnect with nature throughout the area. You'll even find golf courses and other recreational facilities.

There is plenty to explore in other regions of Upstate New York if you're looking for a day trip. The Adirondack Park, the Lake George area, and Saratoga Springs are located just a short drive away.

Saratoga Springs is located north of Albany on I-87 and is home to the popular Saratoga Race Course and other hotspots. The Lake George area and Adirondack Region offer many different hiking trails, camping facilities, parks, lakes, rivers, and more that make visiting the area a truly remarkable experience, no matter the time of year.
