Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper are two big stars who have
big news for the Capital Region. If you want be a movie star you will not want
to miss this!
The megastars are filming their indie film, The Place Beyond the Pines, on location
in Schenectady
next year. The movie is about Gosling,
motor-cyclist stunt man turned thief, doing whatever he can to support his
baby. Cooper is being signed on to play a cop, Gosling’s rival.
But most exciting part is that the producers are asking for
local talent to play the third leading role!
Right now, the Schenectady Film Commission is accepting videos of all
the local aspiring actors. This could be your big break!
Tryouts will be held at 1473 Erie Boulevard, Schenectady,
and you should bring a picture of yourself as well as contact information. Men audition from 10am to noon and women from
1pm to 3pm. Those over 21 should go on
June 4th and potential stars aged 13 to 20 have auditions on June 5th.
