A new gastropub will be opening on 261 New Scotland Ave, in place of the current Pasquale’s.
Kevin Everleth, the owner of Wine Bar and Bistro, has been looking for a new project and decided to open a new restaurant, to be known as the Capital City Gastropub.
Don’t worry pizzaholics – the famous dish of Pasquale’s will reappear on the menu of the new establishment when it opens.
In fact, Everleth has expressed his desire to build out a bar, but change little else in the interior of current Pasquale’s. There he hopes to feature microbrews both on draft and bottled.
The wine list will be smaller than at the Wine Bar, focusing on about 30 lower-priced bottles. The rest of the menu, which is due to appear within two weeks of the final sale, will have dishes ranging from smaller $8 foods to $17 meals.
What is reputed to be on the menu runs the gamut of taste: classic street food, French cuisine, charcuterie, fires, vegan/vegetarian, cheese and a “market du jour” with daily rotating selections of meat, fish and veggies.
As plans and negotiations continue, Pasquale’s will remain open in the meantime.
