Siena College announced today that Coach Mitch Buonaguro has been fired, and they are launching a nationwide search for a new men’s basketball coach for the Siena Saints.
Buonaguro, who had coached the Siena men’s team for three years, has received plenty of criticism for the team’s poor record during that time. Many feel a different basketball coach would bring the Saints up to Division I standards and enjoy more victories as they did under previous coach Fran McCaffery.
